Preston spent fourteen years working under another roofer before starting Dedicated Builders, and that’s where the company name comes from. Asphalt shingle installs in our market run around four hundred dollars per square (a square is one hundred square feet of roof). A typical 30-square house, that puts you in the twelve thousand dollar range for a complete tear-off and Owens Corning install with new underlayment, ice and water shield, and disposal. Steeper pitches, multiple stories, walk-overs, and metal roofing all change the number, which is why we do free in-person estimates instead of phone quotes.
02 How long does a roof replacement take?
Most asphalt re-roofs come off and back on in a single day. Larger or more complex jobs (multiple roof planes, lots of detail work around chimneys and dormers, full deck replacement) can run two days. We tell you the timeline at the estimate, and we hit it. If weather changes the plan, we call you the morning of, not the afternoon.
03 My roof was damaged in a storm. Will you work with my insurance company?
Yes. Storm and hail damage is a big chunk of what we do. The process: we come out and document the damage with photos and measurements, you file the claim, your insurance company sends an adjuster out, and we meet that adjuster on the roof to walk through what we found. Most claims close without the homeowner ever climbing a ladder. We have done this enough times to know what adjusters look for and how to make sure nothing gets missed.
04 What kind of warranty do I get?
Two warranties. Owens Corning gives you their manufacturer warranty on the shingles (typically lifetime limited, depending on the shingle line you pick). On top of that, Dedicated Builders puts a five-year labor warranty in writing on every install. If something we did fails in those five years, we come back and fix it at no charge to you.
05 Do you do metal roofs as well as shingles?
Both. We install standing seam, exposed-fastener ag panel, and the architectural metal systems suitable for residential homes. We also repair existing metal roofs, which is a different skill set than installing new (and one a lot of shingle-only roofers will not touch). If you are weighing metal vs shingle for a re-roof, ask us at the estimate and we will lay out the cost and lifespan tradeoffs honestly.
06 How far do you travel for jobs?
